What I've Been Up To:

Hello, hello, book besties, and Happy New Year! It's hard to believe it's already 2026. I hope you all spent some time resting and catching up on your end of year TBR.

This past month, I finished copy/line edits for The Shadows That Whisper! The book is just about done, and the proofreading round of editing is all that's left before formatting. (Well, then I'll proofread it about a gazillion times after on my own, just to be extraaaa sure everything looks right🤣).

During my break in between rounds of edits, I've gotten back to drafting Of Metals and Curses Book 3 and have surpassed 28,000 words in my draft. I'm challenging myself to write 50k words this month alongside fellow author colleagues, so we'll see if I can reach my goal.

What's Coming Next?

As I mentioned earlier, Whisper is headed back to my editors for a professional proofread this month. In the meantime, I'll be hard at work drafting OMaC Book 3.

All the progress I've made in getting Whisper ready for publication means it's nearly time for a cover reveal! I'm planning to reveal the cover in early February and announce print pre-orders.

2025 Wrap Up and Publishing Schedule

2025 was a really, really busy and big year for me! While my overall numbers are down from 2024, I'm still really proud of all I accomplished this past year in light of how many major life things I had going on (i.e., graduating from law school and passing the bar exam, becoming an attorney, moving to a new place, planning my wedding, and getting married). Reflecting on my year as an author while writing this was incredible, and it's been so cool to see my career evolve this year, and I can't wait for 2026.

Speaking of, I have lots of exciting things planned for this year. Is it a little ambitious? Maybe (spoiler alert, it absolutely is) but I'm excited to see what I'll accomplish this year.
